 The Beacon Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was created to assist NWA Flight Attendants. Established in April of 2000, the Foundation's mission is to provide financial assistance to NWA Flight Attendants and their families who are suffering from a critical or terminal illness, injury, or disability. The Beacon Foundation helps to maintain the dignity of families who have lost their income and are struggling to pay their bills.
NWA Recycling Program
The Beacon Foundation was grateful that NWA designated it as the recipient of profits earned through their recycling program. Due to the upstart cost of the program and the decline in the market price of recyclables, the company’s recycling program to date has not been profitable.
While we are disappointed that NWA’s program didn’t result in revenue for The Beacon Foundation in 2008, Delta’s contribution to Habitat for Humanity will help many families with affordable housing. We hope that in 2009 the company’s program will be profitable for The Beacon Foundation.
The Beacon Foundation continues its commitment to flight attendants by providing financial assistance to those in need by way of funds received through payroll deduction donations and fundraising. We thank you for your support!
